I was taken to the shelter because of a new baby in the family; the parents were afraid that I'd bite the baby, since I like to give little love bites. They describe me as shy but sweet, that I take a while to warm up to strangers, and foster meowmy says that's right on! I'm so afraid of the other cats here that foster meowmy has put me in my own pen that's normally reserved for moms and kittens. I have lots of space, can look at everyone who comes in and looks at me, but I don't have to interact with any other cats. I do call out to foster meowmy, and she comes in a lot to pet me and hold me. I'm not wild about being held, but as long as I'm being petted, I'll tolerate it. I just need a quiet home where I'm loved for who I am!
UPDATE: I now have free run of the house, but I spend most of my time under the desk, away from the other cats. Do you have a space for me in your heart?
LATER UPDATE: Mazzy has turned into a lap cat! It took some time, but she now crawls up into her foster meowmy's lap and purrs and purrs. She gives lots of gentle head butts and nudges to get attention, and very gently snuggles up when we notice her! It took time, but she was definitely worth it!
