I'm Kelsey and I'm going to be a mother! Eeeek! I came here from Harris County Animal Control where some nice ladies from Crystal's Rescue saved me from being PTS and sent me to my foster family in Austin. Just before I left they started to hunt for a spay surgery scar and instead found - - - you got it! that I was pregnant. They sure saved more lives than just one!
Foster mom just couldn't do what some places do, so I get to have my little ones in a safe and loving home instead of on the streets or not at all.
I'm about a thrid thru my pregnancy and I'll be sure to keep you posted and you can watch me get very ROUND (I'm only sort of round now <G>) and then see my beautiful babies when they are born. I think I'm due about the first of March.
Foster mom promises me that they will stay with me until I decide they should be on their own and then she said she'll get them all really good forever homes and one for me too! It makes me happy to know we're all safe now!
IF you should see my pictires and take a shine to me and want me to be part of your family after I have my babies, please let my foster mom know and we can meet and you can see how sweet and quiet and loving I am. I'm a pretty nice lap cat!
UPDATE: February 17-18 Kelsey had her kittens. 5 beautiful little bundles of joy. 1 calico, 1 white with black spots, 3 beige ones (who will be Siamese or Snowshoe when they color out). New photo shows them day 1.
UPDATE April 7: Kelsey is now a slim trim wonder-mom. She is raising her 5 babies and solid citizens and you can just see how proud she is of them. Two have already been adopted and the other three are available for pre-adoption now. That leaves Kelsey also available for pre-adoption. She is a wonderful, easy going, sweet kittie and is just a little over a year old. She's going to be an awesome family member!
UPDATE aPRIL 25: Kelsey has weaned her kittens and half of them are already adopted and gone to great forever homes. Now it's Kelsey's turn. She's a very sweet, loving cat who "burbles" and talks to you. She's a classic example of the Snowshoe breed with her beautiful colors and powder blue eyes. If you'd like to meet Kelsey, watch the attendance list for her to be a the Round Rock PetsMart in the near future OR to beat the rush contact her foster Mom and set up a private appointment to see if she'd be a match for you!
