Whoa what a big world!  First we're here, then we're there and now we're here!

My name is Nixie which is old German for Water Sprite.  Cool, huh?  I like to get my feet wet. Yup, I like to reach in my paw into our water dish and then lick the water off.  When I get tired of that I lap it up like the others.

We came here from Houston.  Our foster Mom jumped in along with her buds from ASR on THE day we were to be PTS just because they're full and we're too little.  Then a Houston friend of ASR came and wisked us out of the shelter and home with her.  I think we knew then that we were going to be safe because we relaxed amd played so well with her children.

Next up a long scary car ride and we're not at our permanant foster home until someone wants to give us a wonderful FOREVER home.  We sure would like to not have to move again, that's for sure.
Right now we're learning to do all the things that we should have learned from our mother, but we weren't with her long enough.  We're coming along perfectly and eating tiny little baby cat dry food and some yummy wet stuff too.  We love each other and we snuggle together in the big hammock in our condo.  We have to be in a cage for a while to make sure we don't give any nasty germs to the other foster kitties in the house and that we don'g GET any nasty germs from them.  We've had one of our vaccinations and its very important for us to stay as isolated and protected as possible until we get our #2.

UPDATE: January 31st, 2015 - Whoa! Life sure has it's ups and downs.  We got adopted by a very loving man in San Antonio but after just a couple of months he got pretty sick and couldn't cope with having two 6 month old kitty boys to take care of so, we're baaaaack!

I'm still a kitten but I'm a BIG boy now.  I'm pretty scared at the moment.  I had to ride in a carrier all the way fro San Antonio to Hutto with my brother Pan and he's not so little anymnore either.  We're not used to all the other kitty smells but Mom thinks we'll be just fine in a few days when we realize where we are and that we are safe.  Oh, and we'll be seeing the vet next week to get neutered!

Even 'tho my body may look like I'm all grown up, I'm still ONLY 6 months old and very much a baby.  Pan and I have been together since the start and Mom's not sure, but thinks we may have to be adopted together again, but she'll post an update along with updated photos of us in a day or two.

In the meantime why don't you fill out the application and then give our foster Mom a call to come and isit with us.  It would be great if you could take the two of us - they give great discounts and priority to adopters taking two or more.  We'd be happy to meet you!
